EXPO ‘Mikiko Minewaki : Kid’s Room’ – Oona Gallery, Berlin (Germany) – 22 Avr.- 22 Mai 2010
« “Mine-chaaaaan, are you gonna use this ?”
“Sure, why not ? »
…this is the beginning of my work.
Thanks to everyone, thanks to myself, my room is full up with objects on and on, such as plastic models, figures, toys, stationery, etc.
Surrounded with those stuff, the hidden forms come out to me, like this, like that… Things left alone and threw away may become something. Moreover, they return to beside the body. What a wonderful transformation! My work is just a sample of transformation. Unexpectedly “objects” could be no use. “Is there any useful way left for this ?” I wonder this could be happened to you. Now, I have a pen with my hand. But when we see it the next time, it may change to be a necklace! «
