Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden ARE « TattyDevine« . They’ve been designing and making jewellery since 1999.
On June 2013, Rosie and Harriet (Tatty Devine designers) headed to Buckingham Palace in their finest Tatty Devine pieces to receive MBEs for Services to the Fashion Industry. Rosie and Harriet said, “Receiving our MBEs today is undoubtedly the proudest achievement of our careers to date. We’ve always been driven to create new, original and exciting jewellery, so to be formally recognised in this way is just incredible.”
Harriet and Rosie first met on Chelsea School Of Art’s Fine Art degree course. We found some bags of leather samples on the street one night, and after graduation we made leather wrist cuffs to sell on London’s markets. We were soon selling out every week at Portobello and Spitalfields. Vogue shot our first collection for their Millennium issue, and with lots of hard work, luck and fun, we grew our business to where it is today.
This year (june 2013) we were incredibly honoured to be awarded MBEs for services to the fashion industry. We’re proud to represent British design around the world and, as Tatty Devine continues to grow we stick to our principles of keeping production in the UK. Above all, we’re always motivated by fun.
