The secret garden joins all the jewellery-plants and animals, Nora Rochel, Toril Bonsaksen and Ricarda Enderweit created.
From the invented seed capsules by Nora Rochel, having small gardens inside, to the autumnal moments of de
cay in the works by Ricarda Enderweit, almost reminding of garden architecture.
The garden is also the place of “Contemplatio“, thinking about nature and culture, such as the « Thinking about the flyway »-series by Toril Bonsaksen. The garden is often a theme in fine arts as well as applied arts, in literature and film as a place of self-awareness, as a metaphor und place for reflection.
Nora Rochel shows a summary of recent works at the SECRET GARDENS exhibition.
Currently she works in Erfurt, where she holds the grant „Erfurter Stadtgoldschmiedin“ of the city of Erfurt. Toril Bonsaksen, who is living in Oslo, shows works form her series „Thinking about the Flyway“. Ricarda Enderweit exhibits rings and brooches as results of her examination with nature
