Noon Passama: Portraits - Galerie Ra

Portraits collection presents jewellery pieces as personalities. They are representations of characters through abstracted and constructed facial aspects opening for interpretation, identification, and imagination. The association of shape, position, and size of different factors of a face suggest the identity and emotion of each piece. Also, the use of fur and leather adds unique and tactile dimensions to the works. Natural details of these materials such as the hair direction, the fur swirls, the skin textures, and the unexpected patterns that perhaps can only be found once are cropped and recombined into various personae. Each portrait is titled with a number instead of something that could hint the sex. The personified pieces might recall viewers of someone or no one at all.

The Portraits pieces will be presented together with their portrait photos art-directed and photographed by Severafrahm.
