L’objet d’art actuel, en tant que trace du temps, reflète l’évolution de notre société avec talent et ingéniosité. Aujourd’hui, plus que jamais, le secteur des art appliqués tient une place de choix sur la scène artistique contemporaine, ce que ne contredira pas la troisième triennale du Prix européen des Arts appliqués qui propose les créations de pas moins de 78 créateurs venant de 18 pays d’Europe. Tous, sans exception, apportent une matière, une forme, une couleur, une âme à leur œuvre. Qu’il s’agisse d’arts appliqués à vocation utilitaire ou d’expression libre, les créations ici exposées détruisent les barrières entre les catégories et démontrent tout le talent, la créativité, l’innovation et l’ingéniosité nécessaire à leur élaboration. C’est dans le cadre de «Mons, Capitale européenne de la Cultureen 2015» que cette troisième édition du Prix européen des Arts appliqués vient apporter sa touche contemporaine aux différents domaines de création,qu’ils soient céramique, verre, bijou, mobilier, textile, objets de décorationou encore stylisme…

 

Trois prix sont décernés par un jury d’experts :  le Prix des Maîtres d’art (prix de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles),le Prix Jeune Talent (prix du WCC-Europe) et le Prix Mons 2015.

Nell’ambito della mostra, la mattina del 30 agosto, nella sala conferenze della Fondazione, sara’ tenuto un seminario composto da due conferenze: la prima relatrice sarà la prof.ssa Maria Rosa Franzin, docente di progettazione orafa presso l’Istituto Pietro Selvatico di Padova, che parlerà del gioiello nella contemporaneità. Il secondo relatore sarà il Prof. Michael Pell docente di lavorazione dei metalli e oreficeria della Scuola Glasgow School of Art – la scuola di Charles Rennie Mackintosh – che presenterà il progetto didattico ed i lavori degli allievi.

The SCHMUCK is an international exhibition that has been taking place in Munich for more than 50 years. It combines works of established artists and promising newcomers in the area of contemporary jewellery design and is the meeting place for collectors, jewellery lovers and museum curators from Germany and abroad. Organized as a worldwide contest, the works are chosen by an internationally renowned curator each year, this time by Eva Eisler, professor at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (AAAD). “Presenting works at the SCHMUCK is an honor for any jewellery designer“, says Dieter Dohr, Management Board Chairman of the GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH. That is also why this time, more than 600 gold smiths and jewellery designers from Germany and abroad applied for the special show. In spring 2015, contributions by 63 artists from 21 countries will finally be on display. This time, Karel Novak from the Czech Republic will be honored as the classic of modern art. Highlight of the SCHMUCK will be the awarding of the Herbert-Hofmann-prizes on Saturday, 14 March 2015 at 5 pm on stage in hall B1. On this day, a jury will select the three best works of the SCHMUCK. Each year, a number of accompanying events group around the special show at the Internationale Handwerksmesse in Munich galleries, museums and cultural institutes.

Monika Brugger – entre-deux – Anneau de fixation en caoutchouc /Rubber ring for fixing. L’anneau de caoutchouc accroche la broche par l’intérieur du vêtement sur le tissu / The rubber ring fixes the brooch onto the fabric by the inside of the garment.

Premio Fondazione Cominelli per el gioiello contemporaneo

L’evento, in programma dal 31 agosto al 6 ottobre 2013, vedrà l’esposizione di gioielli realizzati da importanti autori e designer provenienti da tutto il mondo. Il concorso è promosso dalla Fondazione Cominelli di Cisano di San Felice e da AGC Associazione Italiana del Gioiello Contemporaneo.

Una sezione della mostra sarà dedicata alle opere realizzate dagli allievi del Dipartimento di Oreficeria dell’Università Statale di Belle Arti e della Musica di Tokyo con lo scopo di presentare e mettere a confronto i differenti percorsi formativi e i molteplici orientamenti del design internazionale.

In the context of the exhibition dedicated to contemporary international jewellery at Palazzo Cominelli in San Felice del Benaco, a conference dedicated to the Japanese goldsmith ‘art will be in the Sala dei Provveditori of Salò. The speakers Ichiro Iino and Yutaka Nagai – a famous Jewellery artist, a member of the Association of Japanese contemporary jewellery JJDA – will describe the ancient Japanese art of casting techniques, and the new trends in jewellery design of the Rising Sun.
The JJDA, founded in 1964 by Koji Iwakura, Yasuhiko Hishida and Yasuki Hiramatsu, has as its main objective the international exchange of ideas and projects between East and West.
As every year Palazzo Cominelli, devotes a section of the exhibition to a prestigious design school. This year you can admire the works created by the students of the Department of goldsmith of the University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo, led by the Professor Ichiro Iino.
The Department of goldsmiths of the ‘University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo was founded in 1887 and over the years have followed the innovations of technique and taste, has never forgotten the ancient traditions of Japanese jewellery and sculptures, among which stand out: embossing and chasing, metal casting, pottery and Urushi art (lacquering).

Text forms part of our daily lives. Road signs, headlines and advertisement communicate with people without making a sound. In perhaps more thoughtful text, words enclosed in novels, type in a newspaper article or the verse of a poem can be a source of deep inspiration.
Flow’s forthcoming exhibition Forming Words is based on how form and structure can be inspired by text. Flow has asked selected artists to create new work based on a piece of writing of their choice, from poetry to a letter to lyrics. Whether it is the shapes, lines and curves which letters create that inspire the work, as in vibrant wall pieces by Debbie Smyth that motivate the work. Or simply the fluidity of the writing, artists exploring this theme express the diverse approaches and outcomes this one theme can manifest. Many of the artists have chosen to utilise the meaning of their selected text or the message that the text communicates to inform their work. Other artists, such as Aino Kajaniemi take a personal approach to using text with particular memories woven in thread.
The work in this exhibition traverses disciplines. Jewellery will be exhibited alongside silver teacups, ceramic vessels and enamel plates. The variety in material has resulted in an exhibition that intends to capture the endless inspiration of the written word.Clare Hillerby – Brooch
