INVISIBLE WALL  at  3stations

#21

Opening: Wednesday 24th February 6 pm

on Facebook

The project Invisible Wall is created by a group of artists from different countries. Each artist tells their own Invisible-story, sharing the invisible-space of their own experiences and pushing the boundaries of the limitation of thought; creating a remarkable free territory, with no border, no division and no rules.

These fears are the building blocks of the invisible wall in our minds.«

Lisa Kröber / "In Between" - A-Galerii, Talinn

Dreams full of lightness, cloudy moments, impossible to catch.
They fly away like birds in the sky.
You follow their way untill you can´t see them anymore.
Wondering if they will ever come back.
And then you´re just left behind,
between clouds and the air,
between dreams and wishes,
between worlds.

Worlds, too many worlds… and it´s just one.

Thoughts in your head, in your heart, in your hand.
Thoughts between tears of memories and laughter of love.
Between colours of black, colours of light, of live, black lights.
Thoughts between fallen hearts and rising moments.

The work of Lisa Kröber (Diploma 2010) will be shown from 13 April to 6 May 2013 at A-Galerii, Talinn. Today - 12 April - is the opening at 6 pm. A-Galerii: www.agalerii.ee/?page_id=380=en – avec Lisa Kroeber et A-galerii Autoriehted.

EXPO ‘UltraMarine’ – Tallinn, Estonia – 7 Oct.-6 Nov. 2011

UltraMarine as a word derivates from Latin ultra + marinus and means ’over the sea’ or ’beyond the sea’.
Ultramarine is a fiery blue pigment extracted from lapis lazuli, one of the oldest precious stones used in jewellery for thousands of years. Lapis lazuli or lazurite was imported to Europe from Middle Asia by sea via Venice, hence the name ’beyond the sea’.
Ultramarine was a rare and valuable colorant, as expensive as gold leaf because of its remote origin and complex production process. Medieval masters often used that exotic pigment for the uppermost colour layer only. Sometimes just the robes of Virgin Mary and li’l Jesus were painted using the priceless blue.
UltraMarine is a solo sailor’s route across the sea, an artist’s dialogue with a material that takes place while she works at her desk. One can spy a knowing smile on the countenance of she who has arrived at her destination – for the joy of surpassing oneself is the greatest pleasure of all. A co-conspirator knows the feeling well. The sea unites; the land divides. UltraMarine is bluer than the sea.

http://www.ultramarine.ee/um-eng/images/uudised_p2is_eng.jpg

(Sara Borgegård – necklace: ULTRAMARINE 2011 – Iron, embroidery thread, lapis lazuli, spraypaint)

There are works of 51 artists from Estonia, Europe, US, Australia and Asia, which will be seen in an exhibition space specially set up for the occasion in the Noblessner district. UltraMarine exhibition will be accompanied by an 80-page catalogue which will be published for the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition is initiated by four fellow jewellery artist from Estonia: Merle Kasonen, Julia Maria Künnap, Maarja Niinemägi, Kertu Tuberg.

UltraMarine is part of the programme of the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011

« the word is a picture and the picture is a word
framed words become brakeable pictures,
blurried places-they are blear, but there
thoughts in mind become words on paper
metal becomes paper, becomes a place
a word-place
word-places
a homeplace
homeplaces, in which thoughts are living,
with waxern houses and glasern protection.
homeplaces, in which the words find a quitnesse,
with silent patience in constant beeing.
homeplaces, in which thoughts are prisoned,
with calm violence and tender force.
the words last places are jewellery
wearable, guessable, inaccessible  »

« I play with thoughts, which are growing in my mind, which first change into pictures and then into words. I bring this words on paper, they become poems. But there, they are just standing – simple, left behind, unprotected – and only describing this thoughts. Boring and naked. The paper is a momentarily place of the words. Here, my thoughts are unprotected, the words can be erased or fade away. They can be read by everybody to every time.
In my jewellery the paper becomes metal. I built boxes, or frames, fill them with wax, which is equal with my thoughts. Like the wax needs protection of the melting, my thoughts and words need protection, too. They are packed in boxes, like precious things in an old treasure chest. Here they are protected with glas or resin, they are conserved, they are in good hands. My words changed from readable writings to only  blurry discernible signs, feelable, noticeable and interpretable for everybody diffrently.
» (« Lisa Kröber “Sõnade viimane pelgupaik” » exhibition, avril 2011, iidaGallery, Tallinn, Estonia)
