Triple Parade exhibitions in Tianjin & Beijing Exhibition / 10 Nov 2016 - 17 Jan 2017 - Tianjin Shengxi Museum of Fine Arts & Gauguin Gallery Beijing

The main exhibition TRIPLE PARADE 2016 -  Dialogue Across You and Me to Them: Creator, Wearer, Viewer  – Central Traveling Exhibition Represented 110 jewellery designers & artists from 14 countries.

The Triple Parade 2016 international annual exhibition is a cultural exchange which is expanded between China and the rest of the world on a multitude of level, devoted to the hardcore awakening in jewellery design, with a very open and contemporary-oriented approach by focusing on the concept of dialoguing.

The pervious themes were: Triple Parade 2015 – Dialogue across Three Countries, Triple Parade 2014 – Dialogue across Three Generations. This year, the term Dialogue across You and Me to Them: Creator, Wearer, Viewer in our theme is vitally important marks the notion of social interaction. We believe that the significance and multiple capacities of the dialogue mark have not been truly recognized. Each of the three roles in a dialogue, which are briefly introduced in the plate sections devoted to them, addresses one perspective on how  » Dialogue » plays a progressive position in the contemporary jewellery design of our period. Jewellery examines how we define self, integration and segregation, the means used for communication – and how these issues are reflected in creative work.

the artists and designers will be part of this year’s TRIPLE PARADE Central Exhibitions are:

» TRIPLE PARADE 2016 will open its door at 10th NOV in Tianjin in China, it embraced the aspirations in a great ambition, setting up an intensive program consisting of exhibitions, publication, workshops, forum, lecture, which included dialogues with international collaboration partners from Netherlands, United States, United Kingdom, China, Denmark, Spain. The exhibition represented an enormous challenge to everyone involved in purely quantitative terms: with over 260 works by more than a hundred designers and artists from 14 countries. 11 experts from 8 countries have been exclusively invited to be in Tianjin as speaker on the Design Forum. The publication consists of 7 groups of interviews, including 14 experts on board, giving perspectives from education, collecting, creating, curating, wearing, and dealing on contemporary jewellery design. I am confident that it will open up new perspectives on the giant, and I would like to invite all the visitors to discover the greatly relevant designs from a field so full of surprises, with such a future ahead of it. » Jie Sun (founder of Triple Parade)

Preziosa Young 2015 selection

First selection of 24 artists – Among them, 6-8 artists will be choose to participate to the Preziosa. Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition

Preziosa Young 2015
PREZIOSA YOUNG 2015.
The first selection was made!! We received over 120 entries, and among these participants we have selected 24 artists:
Lisa BjörkeBifei Cao — Chae Sekang — Yu Fang Chi Bartosz Maria ChmielewskiMarion Delarue — Duan Yanli — Annie GobelDaniela Hedman — Holland Houdek — Jhang Hao-Han – Lauren Kalman — Charlotte Kreuter — Tithi KutchamuchLee Seoyeon — Vicky Lew — Bruno Micolano — Luigi Piantanida — Sang Deok Han — Jie SunMichal Taharlev — Yen-Yu Tseng — Youmi KimSangji Yun.

Among this group we will choose the artists (6-8) that will participate in the exhibition in Florence, and will be included in the catalogue.

PREZIOSA is a cultural project designed and co-ordinated by “Le Arti Orafe”, since 1985 the most prestigious contemporary jewellery school in Italy.
The project, launched in 2005, has become one of the most important European events devoted to contemporary jewellery.
The conceptual quality, the presence of artists of international fame, the prestigious set-up, the elegant catalogues and the original formula that comprises the organisation of conferences with the artists taking part, make “Preziosa” an appointment that lovers of contemporary jewellery cannot afford to miss.
A country of exquisite jewellery traditions, Italy has no museum devoted to jewellery, and temporary exhibitions have always been rare.
The attention devoted by the communication media and the cultural institutions to initiatives devoted to this art form has – apart from a few shining exceptions – always been limited, while great interest has always been expressed by lovers of contemporary art.
Through the organisation of events such as PREZIOSA, the school wishes to help to fill a gap the discrepancy of which is more or less consciously acknowledged.
Since 2008, a « parallel » exibition for young artists is organized: PREZIOSA Young is already an international reference for new artists and goldsmiths

The PY exhibition will take place in conjunction with the international event PREZIOSA 2015, in Florence, in the prestigious Marino Marini Contemporary Museum of Art. The organizers could also plan other exhibitions along the year: the selected artists are committed to deliver their work to all the scheduled events. Each of the selected winners must present 5 to 10 pieces for the exhibition. These pieces must be the same (or similar) to those submitted for the selection

We present to you BLANCO, an international group of young jewellery makers.
Within the connecting point of the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht we all developed our own approach to the making of jewellery, at the same time we were always fascinated by each other. Our diversity is characterized by following subjects: the ideal of beauty, one’s self-awareness, aesthetics and oddness, tactile perception and fragility, as well as the use of symbols in our visual culture, the bridgeover of cultural differences and the confrontation with the past. Now the time has come to continue our creative exchange and open up to the audience. BLANCO is a starting point for us as beginners and a meeting point. Therefor we like to cordially invite you to our exhibition.

« I make jewelry for the world to show my ideals. My work always has a direct relationship to the body. They originate classical use of costumes. I take it to it and process them into a new story. »

« The increasing digital world leaves his marks on our daily lives. The volatility of those thousand of photo images floating around like a ‘blur’ in the air. Where are all those things that we wanted to preserve by capturing it with a camera? I want to cherish the tangible and let people see the fragility in both the analog and digital world. By wearing it you still get the sense of reality and preciousness, which is lost in the digital world. You can preserve the purity of capturing the moments by treasuring the piece with love and care, to never forget that fragile things are there to cherish. «  (Fragile Volatility)

Anke Huyben - "Lekker indrukbaar" is a project about my body and how I sometimes am dissatisfied with it.Anke Huyben - « Lekker indrukbaar » is a project about my body and how I sometimes am dissatisfied with it. To hide the parts of my body I feel insecure about I take certain postures to cover them up. But by assuming these postures I in fact draw attention to these body parts. The space between my breasts when I cross my arms, the space between my stomach and my crossed legs;
these opening in my closed postures are casted in bronze.  By wearing these bronze objects I force myself in these comforting postures that, in contrary with their intention, emphasize my vulnerabilities.

Anke Huyben - "Lekker indrukbaar"
Anke Huyben – « Lekker indrukbaar »
« A piece of jewellery is a decoration of the body. Without the body it cannot exist.
I study the body as carrier of the jewellery and I take my personal obsessions and insecurities about my body as the starting point.
I don’t offer solutions but just seek to visualize them »
Anne Eissen - SysiphosAnne Eissen - Sysiphos
« In contrast to the perception that contemporary means fast, digital and short-lived, there is another one, which is all about craftsmanship and staying busy by making things with your own hands.

Thereby objects are able to constantly change under your influence.
I enjoy having this influence and stay close to my work. Even if it is a never ending business sometimes.«
