TALENTE 2011 – during SCHMUCK, Munich (DE) – 16-22 mars 2011

Over 500 students and graduates from leading colleges around the world applied to exhibit in the special show TALENTE. A total of 96 young designers from 28 countries were chosen and invited to exhibit their works in TALENTE. The most interesting submissions will be awarded the TALENTE Prize on Saturday 19 March 2011.

FOR YOUNG APPLIED ARTS

The Bavarian Crafts Council (Bayerischer Kunstgewerbe-Verein) is a professional association for the promotion of contemporary crafts with around 400 members.

BKV maintains in Munich a forum for ARTS + CRAFTS, which consists of the “Gallery for Applied Arts” (Galerie für Angewandte Kunst) and a spacious shop with a wide range of contemporary works of art.

The BKV-Prize was therefore created in 2006 and is awarded once a year to promote the younger generation of artists.

The competition is aimed specifically at young artisans who have completed their professional training and are at the beginning of their careers. The competition is international and covers all areas of applied arts.

The prize is awarded to works that show excellent design based on fine craftsmanship.

•  2nd Prize:  € 2,000.00

•  3rd Prize:  € 1,000.00

INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION OF CONTEMPORARY JEWELRY

12 April  to 19 April, Livorno ITALY

« Mediterraneo è un progetto culturale che, attraverso il messaggio artistico ed espressivo del Gioiello Contemporaneo vuole portare l’attenzione sull’importante tematica della convivenza e dell’interazione dei diversi popoli del bacino del Mediterraneo che, attraverso un autentico dialogo ed una convinta accettazione della condivisione culturale, dona ricchezza e crescita alla nostra civiltà contemporanea. Partecipando a questa mostra gli artisti, approderanno anche loro alle sponde del “pensiero mediterraneo” e, elaborando nei loro gioielli un linguaggio condiviso ed aperto alle diversità, con i suoi colori, le ricchezze dei suoi fondali marini, i miti, i segni della storia e la materia, contribuiranno a quella ricchezza che ha sempre contraddistinto la cultura mediterranea. E’ previsto un premio di 1000€ rivolto agli artisti fino ai 35 anni di età (compresi) che sarà aggiudicato all’opera più rappresentativa della tematica legata al Mediterraneo. Il percorso espositivo sarà arricchito da due progetti inediti: il Garden Club di Livorno proporrà la propria interpretazione del Mediterraneo reinterpretando alcuni dei gioielli esposti con composizioni di arte floreale e inoltre sarà esposta una selezione di foto di Virgilio Catarsi sui particolari delle livree di alcuni pesci del Mediterraneo. « 

CONCOURS -

 

Given the success of last year, the AGC –Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo– offers, from April 12 to April 19, 2011, a new international expo on “Mediterranean. Meetings and Horizons “. The Mediterranean is an ideal meeting point, a point of confrontation and contamination of ideas, cultures, languages and traditions, a place where diversity has always been its richness and the very essence of its civilization.

The artists participating in this event will land on the banks of the “Mediterranean thinking” and will develop a shared language that is open to the diversified cultures typical of Mediterranean by using the light, the colors, the richness of the marine world, the myths, the signs of history and the matter.

This year all participants will be selected by a special commission because there will be a prize of 1000 € for participants under the age of 35.

The exhibition will take place in Livorno (Tuscany, Italy) from 12  April to 19 April in the Museum of Natural History of the Mediterranean in the eighteenth-century Villa Henderson.

Participation to MEDITERRANEO is open to everybody: artists, craftsmen-women, designers or students from contemporary jewellery schools or universities.

There will be preliminary jury and selection of the works, you have to fill in the photos form and send with the photos of your piece/ pieces no later than Saturday 19th February.

Depuis sa fondation, la Société libre d’Emulation a notamment pour vocation de soutenir les artistes plasticiens dans leur travail de création.

Dans cette optique, la Section des Beaux-Arts de notre association a décidé de remettre un Prix de l’Emulation. Doté de 2000€, il s’adresse aux artistes de moins de 40 ans en Communauté française de Belgique.

Pour cette édition 2011, un matériau de prédilection a été choisi : le papier.

L’appel à candidature est en cours pour le moment et jusqu’au 31 mars 2011.

Le Arti Orafe, since 1985 Contemporary Jewellery School in Firenze, in cooperation with inhorgenta 2011, is glad to announces the Fourth edition of PREZIOSA YOUNG, International context/exhibition for young goldsmith/artists selected for their individual research and for the originality of their creations.

The exhibition does not have a predetermined theme but the works put forward must be outstanding in terms of research into form and technique and display continuity and coherence in that research. The items of jewellery may be created in any material

Participants
Worldwide goldsmiths, designers, artists, may submit their candidature for PREZIOSA YOUNG, provided that they are not older than 35 years at the end of 2011
Deadline
The on- line application must be submitted, on October 30th 2010, at latest.

Instructions
Please note that all the entries, texts and images must be uploaded in a single web ession, without the possibility of subsequent amendments. It is advisable to open the registration page, take note of the requested material, carefully prepare the images and texts, and then start the on-line enrolment.

All the text and captions must be redacted in English. Registration should NOT be send by post or mail.

Exhibitions
The exhibition of the selected artists will take place at PREZIOSA 2011, summer 2011, in Florence, and then at Inhorgenta 2012 (February 2012).
The organizers could also plan other exhibitions during this period: the selected artists are committed to deliver their work to all the scheduled shows.
Catalogue A catalogue will be published for the exhibition: selected artists will be asked to send us new images with appropriate definition.

Please note that the images submitted with the enrolment form can be used for dvertising and press purposes.

Selection
The selection will be conducted in two phases. The first choice will be made hrough the photographic material sent by the participants, whereas participants who pass the first selection will be asked to submit one of their items for the jury to make the second selection.
The final selection and the announcement of selected artists will be done during Inhorgenta 2011, where the international jury will have the final meeting.
As soon as the jury will have taken its decision, the winners will have the instruction for the shipment oftheir items. Each selected participant must present 5 pieces for the exhibition.

Shipment of the pieces
The shipping costs for the selected pieces from the origin to Firenze must be paid by the submitters.
It is up to the artists to decide whether to insure and/or send their pieces by registered mail.

Shipment from Firenze back to the origin will be paid by the organization.


Entries from non-EU countries
We will not accept any shipments for the receipt or return of which customs, taxes or other charges must be paid. To send pieces customs-free from non-EU countries, we suggest to use a Carnet A.T.A., which you can obtain from the Chamber of Commerce in your country.
Please note that it may take some time for the Chamber of Commerce to issue this Carnet A.T.A.
All the pieces will be insured by the organization during the exhibitions, in Italy, in Munich, and other locations that may be identified

Concours national des Arts en Bavière Le Prix Danner est doté de 15.000 €.  Outre les « Prix Danner », sont également décernés des prix d’une valeur totale de 12.000 €.

A travers ce concours, de nouvelles idées créatives et des développements sont encouragés dans les arts et l’artisanat.
Un jury international jugera les œuvres et les sélectionnera. Les présentations gagnantes et sélectionnées à partir du 13 October 2011  seront exposées au Musée Villa Stuck de Munich.

Les participants doivent être exclusivement des artisans professionnels qui travaillent  (pas des artistes amateurs!) Qui ont la nationalité allemande et ont généralement au moins cinq ans de leur résidence et/ou un atelier basé en Bavière.

(as a continuation of International Silver Art Review)

International Silverart Competition is the oldest, biggest and most important jewellery art event in Poland and one of the leading initiatives of this kind in Europe, which has been organized since 1979.

The Competition every year has another theme, has open charakter and is addressed to all artists, who have a task to submit works which are characterized by an original creative idea and high artistic and technical level. Idea, worth and sense of the artistic statement are prefered.

In May 2010 the 31st edition of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER will take place.

Le Arti Orafe, since 1985 Contemporary Jewellery School in Firenze, in cooperation with Inhorgenta 2011, is glad to announces the Fourth edition of PREZIOSA YOUNG, International context/exhibition for young goldsmith/artists selected for their individual research and for the originality of their creations.

The exhibition does not have a predetermined theme but the works put forward must be outstanding in terms of research into form and technique and display continuity and coherence in that research. The items of jewellery may be created in any material.

Participants
Worldwide goldsmiths, designers, artists, may submit their candidature for PREZIOSA YOUG, provided that they are not older than 35 years at the end of 2011

Deadline for APPLICATION
The on- line application (www.preziosa.org/it/iscrizione-preziosa-young.html) must be submitted, on October 30th 2010, at latest.

Instructions for application
Please note that all the entries, texts and images must be uploaded in a single web session, without the possibility of subsequent amendments. It is advisable to open the registration page, take note of the requested material, carefully prepare the images and texts, and then start the on-line enrolment.
All the text and captions must be redacted in English.

Registration should NOT be send by post or mail.

Selection
The selection will be conducted in two phases.
The first choice will be made through the photographic material sent by the participants, whereas participants who pass the first selection will be asked to submit one of their items for the jury to
make the second selection.
The final selection and the announcement of selected artists will be done during inhorgenta 2011, where the international jury will have the final meeting.
As soon as the jury will have taken its decision, the winners will have the instruction for the shipment of their items.
Each selected participant must present 5 pieces for the exhibition.

Shipment of the pieces
The shipping costs for the selected pieces from the origin to Firenze must be paid by the submitters. It is up to the artists to decide whether to insure and/or send their pieces by registered mail. Shipment from Firenze back to the origin will be paid by the organization.

Entries from non-EU countries
We will not accept any shipments for the receipt or return of which customs, taxes or other charges must be paid. To send pieces customs-free from non-EU countries, we suggest to use a Carnet A.T.A., which you can obtain from the Chamber of Commerce in your country. Please note that it may take some time for the Chamber of Commerce to issue this Carnet A.T.A. All the pieces will be insured by the organization during the exhibitions, in Italy, in Munich, and other locations that may be identified

Exhibitions
The exhibition of the selected artists will take place at PREZIOSA 2011, summer 2011, in Florence, and then at Inhorgenta 2012 (February 2012).
The organizers could also plan other exhibitions during this period: the selected artists are committed to deliver their work to all the scheduled shows.

Catalogue
A catalogue will be published for the exhibition: selected artists will be asked to send us new images with appropriate definition.
Please note that the images submitted with the enrolment form can be used for advertising and press purposes.
