Her collection “Two drops” was the winner of the last edition of JOYA, she was selected over 50 individual artists. « The idea is to let my audience to think of the theme Presence once in their life/me, about why and how things exists. »

Jeemin Jamie Chung I Art Jewellery‎The Presence | Solo Exhibition - AmarantoJoies

« My works can be defined from the interests and the background of my life with constant new meetings, farewells, and adapting to diverse cultures.
I like to create and show my beliefs and values throughout my work. In my previous works I have expressed nature, in particular the form and structural changes as a plant grows, into movable Art Jewelry.
With the same context and interests I have changed my approach to the works I create. I have been focusing on improvising the ideas of presence into my Art Jewelry. The works I wanted to present is a reflection of me partly revealing the moments of my life… »

« One day, an idea had made me curious, curious about the existence of the nonexistent. The nonexistent form that can be translated into my own way by giving boundaries to irregular changes. This theme has challenged me to express my way of thinking.  I was fascinated by the existence of the invisibleness. It clearly does not show the existence itself, but it reveals through other forms.
This exhibition will be the first step in my way of showing the invisibleness. I will continuously think and question myself about this theme, which will lead to my next series in the future.
Now, I would like to ask my audience, have you thought about the existence of the nonexistent? »

EXPO ‘Enmarcamos a Paul ADIE’ – Amaranto Joies Galeria, Barcelona (ES) – 11 Janv.-5 Mars 2016

AMARANTO Joies :

Enmarcamos a Paul ADIE

« Hello, I’m Paul. I was born in Scotland and after studying in Glasgow, I hopped around Europe living in Spain, Russia, Estonia and Lithuania, eventually settling in Barcelona to work as a translator. I then decided to study jewellery at the Escola Massana (Degree in Artistic Jewellery, Escola Massana, Barcelona, Spain September 2012 – May 2015) under Ramon Puig Cuyàs. »

Amarantojoies - Paul Adie - 11 Janv-5 mars 2016:

« The Earth is moving

 We are moving.
We try to hold on tight.
Every movement is unstable and the ground shakes.
When will it stand still?
After thousands of inventions and discoveries, humans still want to know where they came from and look to the past. We search on the internet and ask our relatives for answers to why we are who we are. Parents dread the question « where do babies come from? », grandparents satisfy their grandchildren’s curiosity about what it was like in the old days. What if we look further back? When did we first make tools, when did we first speak, what were our first beliefs?
We don’t know. The unanswered questions are endless: does heaven exist? Is there life beyond this planet? Why are we here?
The mystery that surrounds these questions is my starting point. By using my hands I come up with approximations to answers and I feel what it is to be human. I try to challenge what I already know and not be scared of being surrounded by what I don’t. » Paul Adie

With great pleasure I invite you to visit «The back yard of my house is special» till the 31st of October in Amaranto Joies, Barcelona

Amaranto Joies - Barcelona - enmarcamos a Eva Burton
Eva Burton   Idar Oberstein, Septiempre 2015

The back yard of my house is special
The back yard of my house is very special
Frogs and giraffes come to say « hi »
We run races in wooden cars
then we eat some custard pies
The back yard or my house is very special
I enjoy the visits that make it shine
I take great pleasure in transforming my experiences into metaphors, adding a romantic view to those slight details that take place in our daily life.
The atmosphere of the surrounding affects me, the focus of my attention differs in every setting, but there is a common denominator: The details. Why to put attention to them? It is the meticulous observation that lets us detect them. It is this sensibility that allows us to capture their essence and then maybe…is the little details that give us support, taste … hope?
The mixture is what fills me. I want to find the connections in the opposites and make them engage in a dialogue. Make them dance, grow apart, get close, play. My pieces are like a concoction that combines various elements, coming from diverse harbors and corners. They are collages, assemblages. But in the composition the elements are not independent. There is an interaction, they are interconnected through their shape, color, stains, textures, lines, distances…A conglomeration is created where this multiplicity has a relation and it is the conjunction of the elements that defines a whole, through which I intend to reflect my own world. My way of composing is seated in playful, instinctual bases. I go around smelling the colors and the elements of a homely landscape … Seeking for that “welcome home” feeling…   Eva Burton

EXPO ‘Everyday matter – Elin Flognman’ – Amaranto Joies Galeria, Barcelona (ES) – 26 Mai-31 Juill. 2015

AMARANTO Joies :   Everyday matter – Elin Flognman

Enmarcamos a Elin Flognman

Enmarcamos a Elin Flognman - AmarantoJoies - - X: (« potatoof passage » necklace or the flying potato ……)

Everyday objects in new surroundings. A gravel path glistening in the moonlight. The element of surprise, the history of the materials, the surreal ingredient of everyday life. Potatoes made of gold.
A potato found on the pavement of a city street wispers stories of the first potato ever to travel into space and back. It speaks of dark and secret societies of the underground as well as the glamour of the colorful days of sun and flowers. Potatoes are people too.
I have found everyday related items on the ground during walks. These items are often food related. I use these items as a starting point for making jewellery. My focus is on the interaction between the ordinary and the absurd. Our desire to escape everyday life fascinates me. By listening to the objects of the everyday I want to make everyday matter.

 PROLONGATION OF A CIRCLE
This body of work was born in London during 2014 and 2015.
It is the first group of pieces created by jeweller Katharina Dettar and graphic and product designer María Izquierdo.
It is a fusion of simplicity and colour.
By removing points from the circumference of a circle it is no longer a circle.
The neck will bring back the natural idea of eternity of the circle.

EXPO ‘Arritmia’ – Amaranto Joies Galeria, Barcelona (ES) – 5 Mars-4 Avril 2015

Borax08001 welcome you to join us for the opening of Arritmianext Thursday March 5th, from the bottom of our hearts.  This exhibition has a special meaning since it’s an ideal occasion to meet once again in Barcelona, the city that watched us develop as jewellers and as a collective, almost five years ago. This show will be hosted by Amaranto Joies, a true example of a gallery committed to contemporary artistic jewellery and its dissemination.

Exhibition from the 5th of march till the 4 of April 2015.

Arritmia

During an arrythmia the heart can beat too fast, too slow or in an irregular manner. Understanding the creative process as an arrythmia is a metaphor that brings us closer to the reality that the Bórax08001 collective has experienced since its beginnings. With Arritmia the collective wishes to reflect these diverse states, through a selection of jewels created in recent times. Being an exhibition that displays the rhythm of our creative beats and variations in frequency which make each member shine by their own personal imprint.

OFF JOYA - EXHIBITIONS - GALERIA AMARANTO JOIES Plateaus Jewellery Project
Galeria Amaranto Joies  : Plateaus Jewellery Project
Apertura/Opening 08 Oct. – 19:00
“Plateaus arises from the need of a new generation to define their position in an always changing world »
« The exhibition project Plateaus is the instant shot of a multiplicity, which linked to one another, is growing continuously. The links between the individual within the multiplicity go beyond each of the other individuals and the very moment, are inspired by the past, transgress borders and offer numerous connecting possibilities of building further plateaus – into all directions and forms.

At the moment four jewellery artist are connected in this project (Barbora Dzurakova, Patrícia Correia Domingues, Katharina Dettar, Edu Tarín). What they have in common are their academic years at the Hochschule für Edelstein und Schmuck of Idar-Oberstein (University of Trier). Here they have known each other and have worked together. Although they do belong to different academic years, in their pieces of jewelry one can recognize interconnection and mutual inspiration. This is their nexus, which is intensified and not only expressed by the heterogeneity of their origin, manner of approaching and individual shaping.«   Julia Wild
