EXCHANGE-BIJOU 1 – Rafael Luis ALVAREZ at « CREATIVITY CONTEST-Il gioiello si mette in posa » – Torino (Italy) 13 Mai-30 Juin 2017

Rafael Luis Alvarez (Argentina)

Selected for  « Creativity Contest-Il gioiello si mette in posa »

INAUGURAZIONE SABATO 13 MAGGIO dalle 16,30 ALLE 20
PRESSO CREATIVITY OGGETTI

CREATIVITY CONTEST

Corrado de MEO : BLACK is BEAUTIFUL

Classé dans : Corrado De MEO (IT),COUP DE COEUR,Italie (IT),www Klimt02 — bijoucontemporain @ 0:43

Corrado de Meo :

« The first cognitive act that I do in front of whatever object is the definition of its volumes and to follow its design in space and to define in its forms exposed to light; what follows is the desire to harmonize those analyzed forms within their structure, in another very complex form as that of human body.
This study commits me so to compose a fundamental sector of my research that its fine is to give an unexpected lightness to those volumes using very light materials. In my jewelry, I want also to project my awareness in their process of execution, crystallizing the phases of transformation into substance in which they are made. I ask myself to point out the phases of their becoming, to discover harmony and balance present in each phase in which matter mysteriously takes form, following those laws that regulate its structure participating in the reality of all the things, in the world that are in constant and continuous transformation.
Observing afterwards, a colored form I don’t only feel a visible emotion, because color initially belongs to the domain of unconscious, subsequently to that of reason of mind, and in taking shape expressing its sonorities becomes a global perception that speaks to our entire essence. »

« One of the keywords in Corrado De Meo’s jewellery is volume. The volumes he creates interact with the space surrounding the object and consequently define the harmony these structures create with the human body. The weightlessness of his jewellery contradicts what is seen and, as a result, creates surprise. In fact, the lightness of his works is unexpected. The materials De Meo chooses to work with are transformed in the working process. He is fascinated by the transformation and metamorphosis that materials undergo during the working process. With colour, the artist performs an initial instinctive act that is subsequently confirmed as being a conscious action that becomes “a global perception that speaks to our entire essence”. » (No-Gram)

 BIJOUX D’AUTORE 2012

22-23-24-25 novembre 2012
Inaugurazione 22 novembre ore 16.30

OmAventiquaranta: BIJOUX D'AUTORE 2012

Complimenti a tutti!

EXPO ‘… Dal silenzio’ – Marijke Studio, Padova (IT) – 20 Avril-20 Juin 2012

Marijke Studio presents:
Julia Maria Künnap (Estonia) – Janna Syvanoja (Finland) – Castello Hansen (Denmark).

« In a noisy world, silence can be a luxury »
Marijke Studio presents 3 jewellery designers from the north of Europe: Estonia, Finland, Denmark.
Hansen and Kunnap, exhi areiting for the first time in Italy, (education and, at the present, teachers at Tallinn and Copenhagen Art Academies); Syvanoya studied at Helsinki Industrial Design Institute and is showing for the second time at Marijke Studio. The artist have works in private and public collections and are exhibiting in the major international jewelry galleries and museums.

On show a fifty jewellery pieces in natural materials (obsidian, quartz, ebony, recicled-paper, gold),
and in synthetic materials as cybatool, reconstructed coral. Each of the artists uses a very clean, recognizable language, achieving appealing, abstract, poetical forms.

COUP de COEUR ! Angela SIMONE – PAPIER aux couleurs du Sud

Classé dans : Angela SIMONE (IT),COUP DE COEUR,Italie (IT),papier / paper — bijoucontemporain @ 2:16

« Italian jewellery artist Angela Simone says she has always had a love for paper, but only recently discovered the pleasure of using it to make wearable art. She loves the fragility and the strength it offers, allowing her to make pieces that are delicate yet strong – “Working with glue makes it possible to obtain very robust paper beads that are also waterproof” she says.« (uponafold blog)

Angela uses corrugated card and a quilling technique to create these paper beads.

angela_simone_2

« She enjoys experimenting with new materials and different papers and says that each provoke a different sensation that inspires her to create very different works. »

angela_simone_5

Angela’s work was exhibited last year at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. Exhibition was titled Paper Jewels and it was an exhibition dedicated to jewellery made of paper from 60 designers all over the world.

Lydia HIRTE – trésors de PAPIER : « jewellery with a ‘twist’ »

A large number of my works are currently on show at the Holland Paper Biennale 2010, Rijswijk (Netherlands) – 08 June – 12 September 2010
www.hollandpapierbiennale.nl

Lydia Hirte, featured in the David Collection
Lydia Hirte‘Schmuck mit skulpturalen Qualitäten ‘ – 2004-2005

The geometric basic forms are clamped or stuck together. They are not glued.

http://www.lydiahirte.de/Images/19962003/Lydia%20Hirte%201996%2003.jpg
1997

« My central concern is to detect and fix clear adorning shapes in connection with a change in the characteristics of the material of the fine cardboard I use I search and provoke the resistance of the material. This is the reason why my works are basically characterised by conditions of clamping, strengthening and springing.«

Lydia HIRTE - trésors de PAPIER :
‘sculptures de papier’ – 2007

« An old-fashioned radiator, the bellows of an accordion, döner kebab on a skewer but also voluptuous shellfish, brightly coloured miniatur folded paperchains, peculiar swings – on gossamer strings. The jewellery with a ‘twist’ by Lydia Hirte cannot be pinned down to just one definition.
Frozen movements
The pendants of German artist Lydia Hirte … look misleadingly simple. What is more, it is impossible on the basis of a picture alone to estimate the scale of the little treasure bundles on her necklaces. The clean forms and colours conceal the effort and intensity involved in getting these trinkets into their finished state. however small the definitive ornaments may be, they put up quite a struggle when being forced into their straightjacktets.

Lydia Hirte declares her love of paper through the directness and tangibility of the material itself. The paper responds immediately to her touch; she feels the effect her fingers induce. In her quest for a strong image she allows herself to be guided by the materials’s properties.

Because of the contortions in the pendants, their outward appearance is far from static. When the object has been fully torqued, it still looks loose and pliable. This is the power of Hirte’s handiwork.

(juin 2009)

http://www.eosarte.eu/public/2009/06/alchimia3.jpg

http://www.eosarte.eu/public/2009/06/wiendau.jpghttp://www.eosarte.eu/public/2009/06/elenskaya.jpg
Anne Wiedau  –  Marina Elenskaya
